Look what I found on the web! The Colorado Edition

A very low Platte River

This week I’m sharing some of my favorite travel sites specific to Colorado. These sites are both blogs and magazines which offer up great ideas and reviews of both well-known and little known places in my state.

If his blog and travel writing is any indication,  Jason would be a lot of fun to travel with and he’s always  up for an adventure. He tells a great story and gives helpful nuts and bolts information about things to do in Colorado.

Heidi is a bundle of energy! When she’s not on the radio she’s in a balloon or at a foodie event or just hanging out in Fort Collins. She’s becoming my go-to guide for quick trips and little excursions for my own blogging purposes.

Mountain Woman Magazine is for the über outdoorsy type woman who is most definitely not me but the magazine is loaded with articles about places to go and things to see in the west. It’s a little bit Lifestyle Magazine and a little bit Travel Magazine that focuses on active lifestyles.

Mountain Woman’s Sister magazine, Mountain Town is also full of great restaurant reviews, news from the high country, and event calendars. So much to do so little time!

And boy howdy,Visit Denver sure brings this home! The Denver Tourism board’s site is a rabbit hole and is my go-to guide with their itineraries, event calendars and guides. They also do a great job at putting together special events for conventions. They did such a great job during Tbex ’12 (the biggest travel bloggers convention) that I was ready to sell all my belongings, pack a uhaul and move to Denver.

But then I remembered I already lived here.

Lucky me.
